The Year Of You

Module 6 - Lesson 1

Piecing it all together

Learning Objective: In this lesson, we’ll sum up everything we have learned over the last 5 months and start setting ourselves up for success. We will reevaluate some key techniques and we will begin the process of creating an individualized plan of success that meets you and your needs.

BUT, before we go digging into all the tips, techniques, strategies, etc I want you make sure that you realize something and that is, YOU ARE ENOUGH!!!!

I want you realize that who you are today does not NEED to be changed. To make significant change in your life and to live to your full potential you need to accept who you are. So, take a moment, take a deep breath and realize that you are enough, you don't have to change who you are, you need to accept your whole entire being and love who you are. Love your imperfections, your quirks, your strengths, love every darn thing. Take a moment to feel it and let that pressure off just fall away.

The purpose of this course was to help you realize that change is good and you can create goals, grow and create a different reality then the one you live now. It was designed to help you overcome challenging times in your lives, learn from them and realize how awesome you are. I created this to help you grown to the person who you want to be.

However, that does not mean that you broken or need to be fixed. It means that we all have room to grow, to blossom, to let ourselves shine and be happy. But achieving this only comes with true self love. Once you love yourself, you realize that you deserve to grow, to attract amazing things in your life and you are worth working on, not because you are broken but because you want to be the best version of yourself possible.

So here are just a few reminders and refreshers of key tools to ensure you have a good tool kit handy for creating your the life you want and continuing on this journey.

  • Remember to always, always, speak your truth and love who you are, every ounce of it.

  • Keep your vision board up to date. Remember, visualizing things as if they have already happened is a tool that some of the most successful people in the world practice. So visualize your goals, your desirable traits and the things you want to attract into your life

  • Change your goals accordingly. Be mindful of your goals and keep changing them up so you stay motivated and ensure they align with your values.

  • Set a day to plan your week. My planning days are on Sunday, I make sure my week is organized and planned to make sure I make time to work towards towards my goals.

  • Don't forget to set time each day for YOU.

  • Practice personal development every day. If you are not growing, you are dying. Keep your mind fresh, keep learning and growing.

  • MAKE A PLAN. After you have a goal, make sure you have your plan to achieve it. Goals without a plan is just a wish.

  • Practice gratitude, once again, we often get stuck in a cycle of self pity and forget the things we already have. Gratitude is they key to changing perspective.

  • Remember that happiness comes internally not externally. Don`t rely on external things to bring us happiness.

  • Address personal issues head-on. Don’t use these as an excuse for not having what you want in life. If you have a problem,  anxiety,  work on it and resolve it.  If this is something you need help sorting out, go and see a couselor or work with a Life Coach to help reach your goals.

  • Don`t get caught up in what others think of you. Your choices may disappoint or offend others but hey, this is part of the process is sometimes necessary in order to grow and live authentically. Those who love you and want the best for you will accept and support you.

  • Don`t get overhwhelmed with tackling things in your lives. Pick one small problem and figure out how to resolve it. Once you crush that one, move on to another problem or even one of your bigger problems or concerns.

  • Consider disengaging from people who bring you down or drain your energy. Build relationships with people who are positive, action-oriented, and supportive. We are who we surround ourselves with, so choose people who support you and encourage you.

  • Always leave time for fun. This one is a biggie often because those who strive to make change usually takes this very serious. BUT, we must always make fun happen in your life. and not take it too serious.

  • Don’t neglect your relationships and don’t take the amazing people you have in your life granted.

  •  Learn to let it go. I know it is tough, but continue to work on it.  Worry is the most fruitless expenditure of energy on the planet. Very little is worth worrying about and worrying does not bring you any closer to figuring things out. If you must do something, take action instead.

  • More often than not, your fear is the culprit for inaction. Fear is the number one thing that stops people from trying, from doing and from living. So face your fears, do it anyways because more often than not, your fear will go away once you take action.

  • Focus on the task at hand. When you feel overwhelmed and pulled in many directions, just pick an important thing and do it without distraction. Focus in on the task, develop a plan and then do another one.

Ok, so I know what you are thinking. Geez, that is a lot to remember and implement. I know, it seems like a lot, but consider this a refresher check list and guess what, you are already doing most of these things already. But, this can be in your tool kit and on days that you need some motivation, whip out this reminder to keep you focused and on track.

Over the next two weeks, we will be making an individualized plan that you can do on a daily basis that will keep you in line with your goals and make sure you are doing things each day to move you closer to where you want to be.

SO, next week's lesson is all about picking our YOUR recipe to success. What works for you, what you need and we will build from there.

"You are the creator of the future, you have all the power!"
